95th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

On November 27 the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine celebrates 95 years since its inception. Ukrainian Academy of Sciences was the oldest of the national academies in the times of the USSR. In its first year of its activity, it consisted of three academic departments: history and philology, physics and mathematics, and social sciences, covering 3 institutes, 15 commissions and the National Library. Now the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine consists of 3 sections, 14 branches, about 170 institutes and other research institutions, where work more than 19,000 scientists.

Participation in international actions of WIPO

From 18 to 21 November 2013 Ukrainian delegation headed by Chairman of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine Mykola Kovinia participated in the 12th session of the Worldwide Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) devoted to development and Intellectual Property (DIP).
